Be prepared to wait in line to get your portion of cold vitamins.During December, January and February make sure to take fresh Seafood home. Just picked produce, seafood, cheese, pickles, orchids, cut flowers, native plants, prepared foods, soaps, candles, guacamole, organic veggies  at 12 seasons farms, and much more. 

Famous Visitors at the Captiva Farmers Market

In 1970 Captiva`s most famous resident ever – the artist Robert Rauschenberg – settled on the island. The Rauschenberg residency is just a short walk from the farmers market. Rauschenberg called Captiva Island magic and his source and reserve of his energies.  In 1990, Rauschenberg created the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation (RRF) to promote awareness of the causes he cared about, such as world peace, the environment and humanitarian issues. The RRF has several residency programs. One of them takes place on the artist’s property in Captiva Island, Florida. The foundation is one of the most popular guests of the Captiva Farmers market.
